What customers say?

“ WOW! The Vegetable Tempura is the best tempura I've ever had! The breading was thin but very crispy. The curry udon and the pork udon were nicely done too. Also, you must get the "Surprised sweet potato heaven" (びっくりさつまいも天) - it was truly heavenly! It is a whole baked sweet potato tempura. Just get it. The staff was also super friendly as well. I'll definitely be back! ”

There are lots of udon restaurants, but this is the first time I've been to a kamaage udon specialty shop since I visited in Kagawa Prefecture They open at 11:30, and the line started at 11:15, but it was already full. There were over 10 people waiting! It's incredibly popular! This famous restaurant has even been named one of Tabelog's Top 100 Restaurants! ⁡ They don't pre-boil the noodles, but instead boil them after the order is placed, so it takes a little while to serve, but... you'll be guaranteed delicious udon! ⁡ ・Kamaage Udon (880 yen) If you're at a kamaage udon specialty restaurant, you have to order the kamaage udon! The recommended way to eat it is to first sip the udon and broth, then add the condiments. ⁡ The udon is chewy and smooth - each noodle is dense and incredibly delicious. This is the first time I've ever been so impressed with kamaage udon, and I can see why there's always a line! ⁡ The condiments are green onions, tempura bits, ginger, and shichimi pepper. As you add more, the flavor changes, making it a delicious dish to enjoy until the very end. ⁡ ・Thin Zaru Udon This summertime dish, Zaru Udon, is available! These chilled udon noodles are rinsed in cold water and are slightly thicker than hiyamugi noodles, giving them a firm texture and a great texture. They're stretched, cut, and boiled after your order is placed, so you can enjoy them fresh. ⁡ You'll have to wait in line, but you can enjoy truly delicious, freshly made udon, so be sure to check it out! ”

“ It's about a 10-minute walk from Hiratsuka Station. It's a popular restaurant, so there's always a line before it even opens. I went there around lunchtime on a Saturday, and was able to get in while the second group was still waiting. The main dish is kamaage udon, but there's also a wide variety of other menu items. The Kuroge Wagyu beef rump steak and lotus root steak were beyond my imagination! They also have a wide selection of sake, including famous sake from all over the country. Lastly, I had the kamaage udon, which was smooth and chewy and very delicious. It's one of the restaurants I'd like to visit again. ”

“ Kamaage Udon with Meat: Rich Dipping Sauce and a New Texture! • [Udon] The udon noodles, made fresh and boiled, are sure to impress with their texture. Slightly different from typical Sanuki udon, these noodles are chewy and bouncy, yet smooth and enjoyable down the throat. Rather than being chewy, they're smooth and satisfying! • [Dipping Sauce] The meat dipping sauce, the star of the dish, delivers a rich, savory flavor that lives up to expectations. The sweet and spicy meat broth really hits the spot, and this exquisite dipping sauce clings perfectly to the chewy udon noodles. Another great feature is the ability to change up the flavor with condiments like chopped green onions and ginger. Freshly Fried, Crispy Tempura • This time, we also ordered tempura along with our udon. The menu is extensive, featuring seasonal vegetables and Oyama chicken. • The crispy batter is especially noteworthy! Served piping hot, the light batter brings out the full flavor of the ingredients. The tempura served between udon noodles was the perfect accent. Atmosphere and Service • The restaurant has a calming, Japanese atmosphere, and is very clean and comfortable. With sunken kotatsu tables and tatami seating, it's clear that the restaurant has been designed to be safe and comfortable for families with small children. ”

“ Official SNS account of the restaurant @kamaageudon.moto Difficulty of visiting 《1 minute guide! Run's recommended points》 The owner is a former teppanyaki craftsman, and serves freshly made and boiled thick and chewy Sanuki-style udon noodles made with no artificial flavors or additives and domestic ingredients. In addition, with the addition of green onions, ginger, fried tempura bits, and shichimi, you can enjoy the umami-packed kelp and bonito broth until the very end without getting bored. The restaurant has a sunken kotatsu and tatami room, and is equipped with a diaper changing station and toys, so it is easy for families to enter. Signed in first, waited a bit before going inside. Last time, it was closed because the owner's son was watching a baseball game, so this was my revenge! I get the impression that there are a lot of families. There are about 4 or 5 staff members running the place, but they seem pretty busy. A sold out sign was put up before 2pm, so it's best to come early. The raised seating is spacious and can seat about five people. As this is a restaurant that specialises in kamaage udon, I wanted to order something hot, but it was hot so I ordered the "Zaru Udon with Meat Juice". The udon is boiled thoroughly after the order is placed, so it takes about 20 minutes to be served. First comes the condiments such as fried tempura bits, myoga, green onions and shichimi. It was well salted and yet chewy, a little different from regular chewy udon! I was fully 80% full with the regular size. Both the meat shabu-shabu and the curry dipping sauce that I was given were flavored with dashi and had a comforting taste. The "Vegetable Tempura" was topped with six types of vegetables: onion, okra, eggplant, pumpkin, sweet potato and mushrooms. It also contained summer vegetables, so you can really feel the season as the name suggests! The batter was crispy. Thank you for the meal! ”
